Started from Parking Lot in central Arlington, a historic small town/village. The main shopping street is a good warm up walk. Track goes north to the terminus of the paved bike trail, then back to Arlington. Stop for patio lunch. Then south to Lake Cassidy and back to Arlington. The route can be extended 10-20 km south along the paved bike trail to Shohomish.
All on smooth and fast pavement. The segment between Arlington and Lake Cassidy is mostly forested and climbs a gentle railway grade through forest. The northern part is flat to gently undulating.
