The trail begins behind the port of Sougia, and the path is properly marked during all its length. The first part climbs until a beautiful plateau dotted of flowers, bushes and some trees. After, the descent to Lyssos is quite steep and in my opinion this is the only difficulty in this walk. During the descent take your eyes on the path, and sometimes stop to enjoy the wonderful panorama. When you arrive at the archeological site you will find ancient ruins with some mosaics. There is also a fountain and a table with benches to have some rest in the shadow. After, you can have a refreshing swim in the crystal clear sea. If you have to back in Sougia and you are not in the mood to walk again, you can wait for the taxi boat, that arrives "more or less" at the time indicated on the board near the pier. A very good walk to spend an afternoon between nature, archeology and sea.
