I have followed this trail  View more

This is a really nice trail in the "backyard" of Tirana's Dajti-Mountain. It starts out near the village of Shën Gjergj and leads up the mountain, across some green meadows and some gravel fields. Once you've crossed the peak, it leads along a small road bringing you around the mountain, down some more meadows and back to village.

I'd rank the overall difficulty rather to Difficult, because the climb to the top of the mountain actually is a real climb. Not that you can't do it without equipment, but you do have to be fit and ok with heights and steep mountain sides.

Once you're across it's fairly easy - so the rest of the trail ranks as a moderate if not easy. On the way down of course there are many ways and sometimes it feels like this GPS trakc takes you down the most unbeaten path, while you could easily just follow one of the main tracks. But it's nice little off-road track.

Definitely worth going on a sunny day (not to be done while or after rain - the climb would be too dangerous).

Thanks for the review mate, I hope you enjoyed the trail. As for the climbing part there is actually a normal track on the left but I choose to climb up just to make things a bitt more challenging.
    Thanx again,
    Take care

Ha, good to know 😂- for us for next time and for others who might not be so comfortable climbing to the top.
Yes, we did enjoy it very much - also because once on the other side of the peak, it was all snow-covered and we had to make our way through the almost knee-deep snow on the road up there.

If I may make a suggestion, some original description from you would have helped us even more. Thanks again for the track!
