Περιγραφή πορείας
Starting in Guadiaro, you leave past the cemetery at the top and bear right along a wide sandy track, with lovely views out over San Enrique and beyond. The path has several steep parts with uneven surface, but eventually you rejoin a smooth wide path again. The big rock on the left at the waypoint just before the summit is worth stopping at and clambering in front of for the view and a breather!
After the summit the trail bends around behind the hill to the right and heads down towards the valley. A straight forward path takes you to a cortijo and a big gate - if there are loose dogs at the farm it’s preferable not to walk through but there is a small ‘gate’ in the donkey field on the left, immediately after going through the big gate which you can walk through and exit over a low fence, or a gate further along, but don’t know how easy to open. However today there were no loose dogs so we walked through the farm, down the drive and around the big gate at the bottom. Turn right and then follow the path by the river, in the welcome shade, all the way back to guadiaro, past the polo fields and under the iron bridge.
Can highly recommend stopping at the Basany cafe for delicious coffee, baguette and cakes, before finishing back at the car!
