We decided to return to Corrour today to pick off the two Munros south of Loch Ossian - it was our last chance this week as rain forecast tomorrow. The route is estimated to take between 6-7 hours. The plan was to catch the early train and complete the walk in time to catch the 3.24pm train back to Spean Bridge. So just 6 hours 52 minutes to complete the walk otherwise would have to wait 6 hours for the last train home.

There had been another dump of snow overnight so the hills were white again. Got into Corrour at 8.32am. With no time to spare, we set off and soon turned right to follow a path taking us to Peter's Rock. We managed to follow a faint trod through the heathery moorland to join the ridge rising to the stoney summit of Carn Dearg. Very strong winds on top with significant wind chill so we didn't hang around for long before heading across Sgor Gaibhre. We were making good time, so decided to the traverse the minor top of Sgor Choinnich.

We decided to keep to the walkhighlands route to cross Meall Nathrach Mor, and continue down the pathless heather towards the right of the plantations - unfortunately there is no longer a gate in the deer fence so we had to climb it before crossing boggy ground to reach the track taking us back to Corrour Station. We were back by 2.30pm leaving us enough time for a drink in the station house bar before catching the train.

If we were to repeat then we would follow the Cicerone guide which drops down to a small dam on the Allt a'Choire Chreagaich to pick up a track back to Loch Ossian.
